I started with the 7.2volt drill. I am a contractor and use my tools every day.
Will buy more Makita as needed or wanted. I am hoping that Makita doesn't let the Chinese downgrade their products.
I have tried other brands but always sell or give them away and come back to Makita. The feel and operation of the tools is excellent.
I have been buying and using Makita battery tools for over 20 years. I still have it and it still works well.
I recently upgraded to the 18 volt li-ion from the 14.2 volt units and am very pleased.
They hold a charge and work great. The batteries are as stated. Thanks Makita for a great product
You know you are investing in a specific battery voltage out of the gate, instead of some after sale Amp-Hour surprise. This amp-hour nonsense just creates a lot of product returns and headaches. I thought I already spent money on the Makita 18v solution. I already have the batteries from my super expensive Makita 18v combo kit, right.Well, guess what, most of these nice Makita add-ons almost always require the other 3.0ah battery. At least DeWalt tells you up front by showing you clearly that there are 18, 24, and 28 volt equipment. I got the Makita combo pack for xmas and guess what, it came with 2 18v batteries.
If you want that handy-dandy saw, you can clearly see it takes a certain battery. What, a 3.0ah pack. This stuff is not cheap folks.I was excited because I thought, now I could invest in a single battery technology because all the Makita L-ion batteries say 18v this and 18v that. Makita has a major battery marketing problem. I was tired of lugging around Dewalt 18, 24, and 28 packs everywhere. So, I finally decided to step-it-up to get some other nice Makita products because they are priced very well since they do not include batteries.
Welcome to a whole new set of batteries, gee whiz, Thanks Makita.Folks, Makita is doing its customers a bad service with this 1.5ah or 3.0ah nonsense.
Recieved item in a timely manner and in good condition. I would order again from this person.
I highly recommend them. They are a bit pricey, but what the hey, you got to have them. The three amp hour battery should be the battery that comes with the Makita tools they fit. If you are a serious user of these tools or make your living with these tools, these batteries are a must. Even with the long life and short charge time I needed back up ready to go instantly and these give me that along with a battery on every tool ready to go, no fumbling around.
